A stretch of Oakland's Fruitvale Avenue is shutdown this morning as police investigate a shooting, police said.
The shooting was reported at 10:39 a.m. near 1001 Fruitvale Ave., according to police.

Police were searching the area for victims as of 11:15 a.m.
Fruitvale Avenue in both directions is closed from East 12th Street to San Leandro Boulevard.
