Weekend Traffic Advisory from Alameda Police
Lots of local events this weekend, with several street closures. Check here before you drive!
From an Alameda Police Department announcement:
There are a number of events taking place this weekend in the City of Alameda that will likely impact traffic flow. Please keep the following events in mind and allow for extra travel time or consider using public transportation. The following is a list of some of the main events:
• Fleet Week 2012 – USS Hornet
Friday, October 5, 2012 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday, October 6, 2012 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, October 7, 2012 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
*W. Hornet will be closed between Ferry Point and Viking St & Ferry Point will be closed between W. Hornet and W. Ticonderoga Ave.

• Neptune Beach Community Celebration
Saturday, October 6, 2012 and Sunday October 7, 2012
10:00 am – 6:00 pm
*Webster Street will be closed between Central Ave and Pacific Ave. East/West traffic will be permitted on Central Ave, Santa Clara Ave, Lincoln Ave and Pacific Ave. No vehicles will be able to cross Webster St at Haight Ave or Taylor Ave.
• Alameda Point Antiques Faire - 2900 Navy Way (at Main St)
Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6:00 am – 3:00 pm

• El Rancho Day Fiesta at St Joseph Elementary School - 1910 San Antonio Ave.
Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
*Chestnut Street will be closed between Encinal Ave and San Antonio Ave.
