While President Barack Obama was at the Scottish Rite Temple to attend a fundraising event Monday afternoon, Air Force One took off from Oakland International Airport for San Francisco International Airport in readiness for the President's departure this morning.
Photographer Erik Niemann says that the photos were taken from the shores of Lake Merritt. While you can see Laney College and the Kaiser Center in the foreground in one photo, Air Force One appeared to be flying over Alameda at the time, Niemann says.
