Alameda Municipal Power's website has been fully restored after a routine backup of the system caused it to go down Monday, according to a press release from the utility.
The release said, "At no time was customer data at risk since it resides on a separate in-house secure server. However, search engine listings for AMP continue to display the message 'This site may be compromised.'
"AMP is working with the search engines to clear this, but it may be several days before the message is removed.
"Search engines displayed this message after AMP's website was compromised last week and external links were inserted within AMP's web pages. The links were found and immediately removed from the AMP website."
No customer data was compromised in the earlier incident either, the utility said.
