Assistant City Manager Bids Alameda Farewell

After working with the City of Alameda since February 2007, Lisa Goldman will be leaving to take a position as the City Manager of Burlingame.

Assistant City Manager Lisa Goldman will be leaving in December to take on a new position as the City Manager of Burlingame.

She reflects back on almost six years spent with the City of Alamed (see video above).

This past year, she has worked with a community task force regarding the reduction of pension and retiring medical oblications. They have come up with solutions that city staff will investigate over the next few months.

Alameda is currently seeking a replacement for Goldman and is looking to hire a new assistant city manager by January 2013 if not sooner.

Lisa Goldman was a tremendous asset to Alameda, I will miss her, but know Burlingame will benefit from her talents as a municipal administrator.
