The Alameda City Council will consider tonight whether to allow the convenience store at the , 1716 Webster St., to sell beer and wine. The applicant has appealed a decision by the Planning Board to deny a use permit amendment that woud allow the sales.
In a related matter, the council will decide whether to approve a first reading of a zoning amendment that reduces yard setbacks for gas station convenience stores.
Most other items on tonight's agenda are part of the consent calendar and are expected to receive routine approval.
