The post-Measure C municipal budget and Bay-friendly landscaping are on tonight's agenda.

The Alameda City Council will hold a special meeting tonight to adopt a post-Measure C municipal budget for 2012-2013, consider increases in a number of city fees, and give final approval to a new Bay-friendly landscaping ordinance.

The council meets at 7 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, 2263 Santa Clara Ave.

I LOVE it! Any public comment beyond fifteen minutes at the beginning of the meeting will be held in "accordance with Section 8 [of this document]" There are only SEVEN sections to the document. For this we pay six-figure salaries to our City Hall inhabitants?

I'd like to work for the city! Great salaries, great benefits, guaranteed raises every year no matter the performance and even 12 months severance and 12 months of full Cobra payments if terminated w/o cause. Where is the outrage when our city is falling to pieces? How about a prop to reduce salaries and benefits!? I am sure there are plenty of qualified and experienced people who would mind making less than $200,000 a year to work for our city.

Who "wouldn't" mind making less than $200k ...
