Alameda Vice Mayor Rob Bonta will be hosting a town hall event seeking community input on the City of Alameda’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the , 1900 Third Street, in Alameda. After a short meet and greet, Vice Mayor Bonta, Acting City Manager Lisa Goldman, and City Controller Fred Marsh will make a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer session.
Vice Mayor Bonta, Ms. Goldman, and Mr. Marsh will discuss the short and long-term financial challenges facing the city, and seek community input in developing the budget for fiscal year 2011–12. Light refreshments and a buffet of Filipino favorites will be served.
