North Park Street Rezoning Hearing Delayed

The public hearing and first reading for the ordinance has been rescheduled for April 2.

From a City of Alameda press release:

The public hearing (first reading) for the North Park Street rezoning will be rescheduled for the April 02, 2013 City Council meeting.

Staff is pulling the item from the Tuesday, March 19, Alameda City Council meeting agenda because the 220 pages of documents published for public review did not include all the information and is, hence, incomplete.

In accordance with the City’s Sunshine Law, it would be inappropriate to provide the missing information at the council meeting because the public has not had the opportunity to review it.

The City Council will hold its first reading of the draft code on April 02, 2013.  If approved, a second reading will occur on April 16, 2013 for adoption and the new code will take effect 30 days later on May 16, 2013.
