From the City of Alameda
The City’s online survey about what trees Alamedans would like to see on Park Street had 472 responses.
(You can see all the results be clicking on the PDF to the right.)
Those who took the survey indicated they want Park Street to have a mix of tree species, of varying colors and heights. They say they want shade in summer and light in winter.
Those who took the survey also indicated they would like the new trees to grow as quickly as possible.
In the next two weeks, city staff will consult with local tree experts to find trees that meet the survey’s results. The City will then prepare a rendering of what Park Street will look like upon completion.
