Park Street's New Parking Kiosks 'Go Live'

The parking meter kiosks are operating between Central and San Jose avenues.

From a City of Alameda press release:

The new parking meter kiosks at Park Street are on and ready for people to use. As a courtesy, the City’s parking enforcement officers will give people friendly reminder notices for a few weeks, and parking enforcement will begin on Monday, June 25, 2012, which means if you don’t pay for parking and display the receipt on your dashboard, you will get a ticket.

The kiosks are very easy to use: 1) pay with either coins or credit/debit card; 2) choose amount of time you need, up to 2 hours; and 3) take the printed receipt and place it face-up on the driver’s side of your dashboard.
