Poll: Do You Change Your Plans on 'Spare the Air' Days?

Monday and Tuesday Sept. 19 and 20 are the fifth and sixth air quality watch days of 2011.

"Spare the Air" days are those identified by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District as being forecast to have dangerously poor air quality.

Drivers are asked to make alternate arrangements and everyone is asked to reduce household energy use and avoid using lawn mowers and leaf blowers. 

As I write, I am listening to the cacophony of gas-powered leaf blowers from the garden crews around the neighborhood.
