What is the primary reason you are running for this office? I want to continue serve as Trustee on the School Board.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected? Clear and consistent communications about public education issues impacting Alameda.

Where do you work and what is your job title? I am Trustee for Alameda Unified School District. I am current unemployed.

What are the names and ages of your children, if any? Chris, 28, Becky, 24, and Stephanie, 22. We have one grandchild, Leo, 5.

Please list the schools and colleges you attended, the degrees you attained and when. Graduated CSUH (now CSUEB) with an BS in Accounting

Have you ever held an elected or appointed public office? Yes, I have served as Trustee for the Alameda Unified School District for the past eight years.

Have you run before for an elected public office? I lost in the 1994, 1996 and 2000 elections before elected in 2002.

Approximately how much money do you expect to spend on your campaign? I am not accepting donations. I have minimal cost duplicating materials for candidate forums.

How long have you lived in Alameda? Only 30 years.

What's your favorite thing about Alameda? The location of Alameda in relation to being able to get anywhere in nine Bay Area Counties within an hour.

What is the biggest problem in Alameda? The ability to change to keep up with demands of ever changing regional,  State and Federal mandates while maintaining the characteristics that make Alameda unique.
