VIDEO: Knights in Armor Invade Alameda Library
Medieval weapons and warfare came to the library last week. Armored "knights" held dramatic mock tournaments and showed children authentic weapons and armor.
Knights of the Middle Ages are rare at the library, but exciting programs are not.
"The library and all of its offerings helps make Alameda what it is," said Linda Valler, who helps coordinate community programs at the library. "Though a cornerstone for a certain segment of the population, the library is an unknown gem to many."
