Video: Yes or No? Alameda Voters Weigh in on Measure A

Patch spoke with voters who cast their ballots on Measure A today.

Across Alameda, voters headed to the polls today to decide the fate of , the school parcel tax that would mean a higher cost for property owners, but leave many in the community sighing with relief. The tax would raise $12 million for the city's public schools. 

Patch visited five polling stations across the Island and spoke with voters as they left, asking if they marked a"yes" or a "no" on their ballots and why. Here's what they had to say about Measure A.

Look for election results starting at just after 8 p.m. on Alameda Patch. And if you haven't voted yet, go get an "I voted" sticker.
