Women Hall of Fame Inductees Will Be Honored This Month

Alameda County women will be honored by Board of Supervisors and the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women

 

The 19th Annual Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony will be held March 31 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Oakland. 

It is being presented by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women. County Administrator Susan S. Muranishi and Dr. Bonnie P. Wheatley of the Commission on the Status of Women are co-chairing the awards ceremony.

At the event 2012 Inductees in the Alameda County Women's Hall of Fame will be honored.  This year's inductees are: Terry Alderete, Business & Professions; Barbara Bernstein, Community Service; Mildred Howard, Culture & Art; Oral Brown, Education;  Connie Malloy, Environment; Pamela Arbuckle Alston, DDS Health;  Jocelyn Larkin, Justice; Nicole Taylor, Philanthropy; Dawn Shaughnessy,  Science; Debby De Angelis, Sports & Athletics and Arooj Haq, Youth.
