Cost Per Square Foot: Homes In Alameda That Have A Higher Price Tag

Check out this small home in Alameda with some new features

You get what you pay for, the old saying goes.

That's true for homes as much as anything.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look this week at houses that cost more per square foot that most homes in their area.

There are a lot of reasons for the higher price tag. Location is probably the main reason. There can also be amenities as well as the size of the yard.

In Alameda, this three-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 2524 Clement Ave. is listed at $499,000.

It's 648 square feet, which means its costs about $700 per square foot.

The residence is listed as having wall-to-wall carpeting and laminated kitchen countertops.
