ACLC Sets Up Donation Page for Alameda Parent Killed in Limo Fire

The donation page aims to raise money for hospital and memorial/funeral expenses for Felomina Geronga, whose daughter currently attends ACLC.

Alameda Community Learning Center has created a donation page to help raise money for one of its student's mother who was killed during the limousine fire on the San Mateo Bridge Saturday evening.

was identified on Tuesday as the final victim in the limousine fire that killed five passengers Saturday night.

Geronga's daughter, Yoare, 12, is currently a seventh grader at ACLC. Her son, Abero, 10, attends Donald D. Lum Elementary, where the school's PTA also set up a donation fund for the family.

David Hoopes, ACLC's Lead Facilitator, described Geronga as a devoted mother to her children.

"She's a model parent who's always been available, supportive and present," he said.

Hoopes sent out the following message to the school's email list Wednesday afternoon:

Yesterday we updated you about the tragic limousine fire that has devastated one of our learner's family. With the consent of the family, ACLC has set up a donation page to raise money for their hospital and memorial/funeral expenses.
