AEF Presents 'Adopt a Classroom' Donation #90

The Alameda Education Foundation's final presentation for the 2011-2012 school year went to a teacher at Nea Community Learning Center.

The (AEF) completed its Adopt A Classroom program for the current school year on May 10 with a presentation to Nga Nguyen at from an anonymous donor, according to an AEF press release. This completes 90 AAC presentations, with $45,000 distributed directly to Alameda public school teachers this academic year.

Funds were used to purchase books, musical instruments and learning materials; for field trips; and to fund educational presentations.

AEF is currently accepting donations for the upcoming school year. The foundation encourages undirected donations, which are then distribute to teachers most in need, but directed donations are also welcome. To become an Adopt A Classroom donor, please visit www.alamedaeducation.org.
