Last Chance: Final Day for Advance Tickets to AEF's Salute to Education

The community is invited to come learn about innovative programs in Alameda schools on Friday

It's 's 30th nnniversary and every school is featuring programs as well as honoring parents and staff at Friday evening's Salute to Education. Come show your support for Alameda schools Friday, April 13. from 6 till 9 p.m., at , 2301 Monarch St. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 on the day of the event.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.AlamedaEducation.org or at Cafe Q, 2302 Encinal Ave.

How does a middle school work to prevent bullying? What is Restorative Justice at a high school? How is an elementary school seeking to reduce trash consumption by 90 percent? Each school will be highlighting an innovative program that you may peruse while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, fine wines and smooth jazz from the Alameda and Encinal High Jazz Bands in a relaxed, festive setting.  

Advance tickets are available through today only (Thursday, April 12) and include a free drink ticket. Tomorrow tickets must be bought at the door and are an additional $10.
