Alameda School Board Approves New Budget

The district can expect to see an increase in school funding for the 2013-2014 school year.

Alameda Unified School District's Board of Education approved a new budget during Tuesday's meeting which includes an increase in state funding according to The Alamedan.

The budget, which the board approved by a 4-1, will bring in $86 million in revenues, including $6 million more from the state than the district had budgeted for this year, according to The Alamedan.

The district can also expect spending close to $93 million for 2013-2014 school year, The Alamedan reports.
