ASTI's Tracy Corbally Chosen as Teacher of the Year

Corbally, who teaches at the Alameda Science and Technology Institute, and three other finalists will be honored at the May 28 meeting of the Board of Education.

Tracy Corbally from Alameda Science and Technology Institute (ASTI) has been chosen as the Alameda Unified School District’s Teacher of the Year for 2012-13, according to an announcement from AUSD Superintendent Kirsten Vital's office.

ASTI is the district’s early college high school magnet school located on the campus of the College of Alameda.

Corbally will be formally recognized at the May 28 Board of Education meeting, along with finalists Andrea Hardman from Otis Elementary, Marc Jaeger from Otis Elementary and Michael Lamb from Alameda High School, according to the announcement.

Next fall Corbally will compete to become Alameda County Teacher of the Year. In October she will also be recognized by the Alameda County Office of Education at the annual ceremony for Teachers of the Year from all school districts in Alameda County.
