Encinal High School Hosting 'Extravaganza of the Bands'

The music department of Encinal High School is proud to announce our nineteenth annual Extravaganza of Bands to be held on Saturday, May 17.

This is one of our school’s largest events, with 12 visiting bands and more than 1,000 visiting musicians and spectators. The event will include middle school and high school concert band competition taking place in the Encinal High School gym from 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m., followed by Parade competition down Pacific Avenue beginning at 10:00 a.m.. An awards ceremony and presentation of trophies will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Encinal High School football field. 

IMPORTANT STREET CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT: Please note that streets around Encinal High School will be closed from approximately 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on this day. Parking will be restricted on and near campus all day. 

Closed streets include: 
• Central from Third to Pacific 
• Pacific from Central to Fourth 
• Fourth from Pacific to Haight 
• 300 block of Haight 
• Third from Haight to Central
