Alameda Parents Support Group

The next Alameda Parent Support (APS) group will start on Monday, May 7th, 2012, 9:30 am - 11:30 am. The group will be facilitated by Beth Hoch, LCSW, former Director of Smart Health Babies.  The group will include topics such as Rituals and Routines, Postpartum Depression vs. Baby Blues, the transition from Partners to Parents, issues around sleep and how to get more and self care. A session of infant massage, consultation on feeding issues by Peggy Hinkle, IBCLC (certified lactation consultant), optional home visit by a perinatal clinician, and a partner night are also included. All parents welcome to this inclusive and safe space to help you explore the best choices for you and your baby. Come meet and build a community of first time Alameda parents that may be your support network for years to come!


When: Monday, May 7th - Monday June 18th (no meeting on Memorial Day, May 28)


Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church - "Helen Room"  1910 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, CA 94501 (enter from Lafayette Ave)
