AUSD Board of Education Candidtes Forum hosted by the Alameda PTA Council

The Alameda PTA Council invites you to learn more about the candidates for the Alameda Unified School District Board of Education. 


The education community in Alameda is gearing up for the election season and we want to invite you to a AUSD School Board Candidate Forum, hosted by the Alameda PTA Council .


The event will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 6:30pm at the Alameda High School Little Theater on Central Avenue.

There are many challenges facing our schools in the coming year so voting wisely for the School Board is more important than ever.


There are three BOE positions open this year. The candidates for AUSD Board of Education are (in alphabetical order): Barbara Kahn, Tom Lynch, Ron Mooney, Jon Murphy, Kurt Petersen, Michael Robles-Wong, Trish Spencer, and Nielsen Tam.

You can view information on the candidates at www.smartvoter.org/ca/alm. This site is run by the League of Women Voters and also includes other useful election information.


The format of the forum included acceptance of questions from the public, submitted prior to the event through the Alameda PTA Council . All questions should be submitted through the online PTAC Form.
