In Alameda we're very fortunate to be able to watch the seasonal migration of shorebirds and ducks along our waterways with summer marking the trickle that turns into a flood of their return for the fall and winter. Some of my favorite bird watching, though, happens in my own backyard and neighborhood. Here's my blog for KQED QUEST that relays some of the regular visitors we've had in Alameda and some of the ways you can attract more of them to our area. You can also find out how to participate in Citizen Science projects related to birds.
