Make Extra Money for the Holidays Selling on eBay

Did you know that estate sale companies have estimated that the average home has over $10,000 in unused stuff?  These are the "treasures" packed away in closets, attics, and basements that never see the light of day.

Learning to sell on eBay is a fun way to turn your closet into a cash machine, and just in time for the holidays!

For inspiration, eBay created a room by room guide of what you might sell.  Here's the link: http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/what-to-sell.html

Some items are very unexpected!

*Starbucks Coffee mugs sell for $25+
*Hot air popcorn poppers from the 1980s sell for $60+
*Older "Hidden Mickey" teddy bears sell for $650+
*Some vintage Levi's jeans sell for $1,000+

Even garbage sells - it's crazy!  I know a lady who sold 80 empty toilet paper rolls for $25.

This mini-blog will share tips and ideas for selling on eBay.  Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments below and I will answer as quick as I can.

If you would like to take a class to learn how to sell on eBay, my next class is scheduled for November 16th at 1400 Bar & Grill in Alameda.  Register here.

Sandi Garcia is "Social Sandi", an Education Consultant trained by eBay.  I travel around the country to help teach sellers, and have taught at eBay Headquarters in San Jose, in Tucson, and in Atlanta in 2013.
