Alameda Attack Girls Lacrosse Team Wins Four Games in One Weekend

The U13 team is now ranked #1 in the 18-team B division of the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association.

Alameda Attack 6, Petaluma River Cats 1

Under gorgeous blue skies, Alameda Attack's Marina Ramsey, Phoebe Brand, and Cristina  Navarro contributed three of the Attack's six goals. Goalie Savannah Hallgarth made four saves and was assisted by strong defensive efforts of Danielle Simpson and Brooke Tyler.

Alameda Attack 7,  San Francisco Riptide 3

The Riptide's goalie put up a strong defense against Alameda Attack, but couldn't hold by the relentless offense by Attack's Kacy Stoddard, Skylar Herrera-Ross and Marina Ramsey. Both teams were temporarily distracted by two swarms of bees that flew across the field in the second half, but the game ended with a victory for Attack (and Riptide's first loss of the season).

Attack 6, Granite Bay Grizzlies 4

In one of the closest games of the season, Kacy Stoddard contributed three goals and Austine Topacio contributed one against the higher-ranked  Grizzlies. Teagan Waterloo, Caila Devlin and Madison Murphy provided strong defense against the other team and goalie Savannah Hallgarth prevented more than a half dozen goals.

Attack 11, South Marin Wolfpack 1

With four goals by Phoebe Brand (one assisted by Rebecca Eggert), three by Kacy Stoddard and two by Allesandra Marcone, Alameda Attack sailed to an easy victory against South Marin. Strong defense and midlfield transition was led by Brooke Tyler, Marina Ramsey and Danielle Simpson.
