Alameda Boy Moves Up in Elks Hoop Shoot

Jason Cibull moves on to the Northern California Semi-finals in the 8- to 9-year-old division

 

Jason Cibull will represent Alameda in the Elks Hoop Shoot Northern California Semi-finals at Foothill Farms Junior High School in Sacramento on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at noon.

Jason, who represents the Boys 8 to 9 Year Division from , finished in first place at the Elks Hoop Shoot district finals by making 19 out of 25 free throw shoots. The district finals were held in San Mateo earlier this month.

The Elks Hoop Shoot Contest is a national event, conducted at the local level by the and locally sponsored by the .

Over 3 million youth from throughout the country enter the competition each year. The contest consists of shooting free throws and each contestant has 25 opportunities to shoot at the hoop.
