Alameda Little League Game Summaries - April 28 through May 4

Major Division

Seelenbacher Jewelers Red Sox 7, Funtime Photo Booth Yankees 2 -April 24

Red Sox Scott Kelly was 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs, Wylie Jordan had a single and double gaining 2 RBIs and James Kapp had great hit to RF gaining another RBI. The Yankees played a great game.

Red Sox Pitcher Joe Gibbons didn't allow any runs in the game. Brandon Lim extended a bunt to third and gained an RBI. The Nationals were competitive.

 

Dr. Vicki Wang Orthodontics Twins 5, Funtime Photo Booth Yankees 0 – April 26

Yankees' Michael Proffitt threw 7 shutout innings, Elexsio Pelayo caught an over the back flyball. Aaron Garcia called all pitches and threw out a runner.  For the Twins, Max Nyrop and KW Quilici combined on the shutout, Sam Silberstein had two hits, and Jonathan Andrews caught all nine innings.

 

Jim Bustos Plumbing 12, McGuiness and Northridge Marlins 10 – April 29

For the Dodgers, Ryan Floyd had three RBIs, Connor Bustos had an RBI double and scored, Jackson Ade had 2 hits. The Marlins played a solid game and kept the score close.

 

AAA Division

Craft Beer and Winde Red Wings 3 vs Encinal Market Hooks 17 - April 23

Luke Freeman hit a solid double. Declan Howard played solid first base. The Red Wings played a good game.

 

Craft Beer and Winde Red Wings 3 vs. Dr. Johnson & Dr. Jolley Orthodontics* Anabiosis CPR/First Aid Training Iron Pigs 8 – April 26

Lucas Baldizan made an outstanding outfield catch. James Moore hit a double, and catcher Jacob Baca tagged a player out at home. The Iron Pigs held the day.

 

Karin Fox Harbor Bay Realty Rivercats 19, Vator Express 6 - April 28

Jonathan Schnoebelen hit a single, double and triple for the Express while Justin Blake and Henry Pace each made a big infield play for outs.  Great defense by Zak Zimmerman and fantastic hitting by Tommy Igo and Robert Jensen keyed the win for the Rivercats.

 

Craft Beer & Wine Red Wings 10, Harbor Bay Realty, Karin Fox Rivercats 9 – May 3

Evan Hesse provided the power by hitting 2 triples while Ethan Thomas pitched 3 innings for the Rivercats.  Justin Cala had 2 hits as well.  For the Red Wings, Quinn Rasmussen and James Moore each smashed the ball for home runs. Christopher Schaefer scored the winning run on a bunt by Joshua Blackman.

 

 

AA Division

Red Onion Rock Hounds 9 v. Scolari's Good Eats Bats 12 – April 26

For the Red Onion Rock Hounds, Nathan Jaramillo led the offense with three hits.  Tyler Ray and Hugh Saulsbury also added two hits a piece.  For the Scolari's Good Eats Bats, Jacey Canalin and Jonah Hammond went 2 for 2.  On the mound, Subby Wolff Urzua  Ahadu Zemenfes and Isaac Yoon combined for 16 strikeouts.

 

Jack's Restaurant and Bar Thunder 5, Alamo Capital Riverdogs 9 - April 26

Thunder Ty Menze doubled and made a double play from center. Jack Marcovici made two putouts. Jack Baker and James Burke both had RBIs. The Riverdogs Nick Robertson had 2 RBI on a bases loaded 2 out double. Diego Ortiz had two hits and scored two runs. Nathan Kent pitched two scoreless innings and struck out 5.

 

Shooting Stars Mud Hens 13 - Alameda Theater Bulls 5

For the Mud Hens Owen Merritt and Patrick Baggett each hit 2 RBI doubles. Zachary Nordberg had an unassisted double play. Matthew Mainguy struck out the side in the 6th inning. Bulls David Gibbs and Rex Weber combined for 6 hits.  Sage Roy-Burman and Maurcicio Rosales allowed 5 runs over 4 innings and struck out 6.

 

Parker and Sears Orthodontics Hot Rods 7, Alameda Natural Grocery Bees 18, April 27

Hot Rods Henry Weichart led the Hot Rods offense with an RBI Triple and Anthony Sono and Christian Chu also with RBI. Jacob Whorley pitched 6 strike outs. Nicholas Dunwood Jr. led the Bees batters with a hard hit base hit up the middle. Owen Sacco contributed a base hit and RBI.

 

TMS Automotive AA Sea Dogs - 17, Parker & Sears Orthodontics Hot Rods- 16

Sea Dog Rafael Arredondo played well at 2nd base while Reed Hong pitched a scoreless sixth inning.  Luke Allen stole home for the deciding score. Hot Rods Zachary Lachs batted 3-3. Judah Morenz, Wesley Karp and Turner Wasson were defensive standouts.

 

A Division

 

Alameda Collision Repair Lugnuts 13, Alameda Elks Lodge 1015 Muckdogs 11 – April 22

The Lugnuts were lead by Joshua Chang and Myles Handler on offense.  Ryan Hans and Sandor Strong recorded big outs in the field.The Muckdogs Gavin Pryor had a hot bat going 3 for 3 while David McNamara, Weston Andrews and Matthew Thornton showed great teamwork to make a double play.

 

Neptune Beach Pearl Blue Claws 17, Alameda Collision Repair Lugnuts 14 – April 23

For the Lugnuts, Jonah Abrami hit two doubles.  Eric Thies had two hits. Tyler Hampton made a big catch in right field.  The Blue Claws played a great game.

 

Neptune Beach Pearl Blue Claws 15, Claremont Behavioral Services Owlz 3 – April 28

Blue Claws Marcelo Quirk and Makana Berzabal each earned four singles. James Alexander caught a fly ball in center field. Owlz Eli Slez, Mateo Delgado and Nolan Shultz collected a single hit each.

 

King of Thai Noodle Tincaps 8, Alameda Elks Lodge 1015 Muckdogs 21 – April 30

Tincaps infielder Porter Starnes caught a pop fly out and turned an unassisted double play.  Keanu Hennings contributed going 3 for 3 with an RBI double. For the Muckdogs, Jazlyn Alcantar went 3 for 3 and scored 3 runs.  Isaac Camacho made a terrific play in right field.

 

Neptune Beach Pearl Blue Claws 21, Kelly Lux Insurance Iron Birds 7 - May 2

Jon Jones, Edward Gross and Daniel Kinna flashed the leather in the field.  Kyle Skuta and Noah Klube had strong hits. Blue Claw Kyle Nguyen hit a double, two singles, and turned a stellar double play with first baseman Hudson Taylor. Jackson Walker hit three singles.

 

Alameda Collision Repair Lugnuts 13, King of Thai Noodle Tincaps 3 – May 3

For the Tincaps, Ryan Wiley made a big stop at third base, and Antonio Arevalo showed toughness at catcher. For the Lugnuts, Ryan Hans had two hits including a double. Myles Handler had two hits. Matthew Marx and Leo Paredes both had a good game with a lot of hustle.

 

 

Farm Division

 

Dragon Rouge Tigers, Safeway Stores Angels - 4/27/14

Seamus Connolly made a play from left field to 2nd. Logan also turned in excellent plays to get outs at first and second base. The Angels played a great game and had a lot of fun.

 

Sports Authority Red Sox vs. Guaranteed Rate Orioles - April 27, 2014

For the Red Sox, Clara Johnson-Sandval went 2 for 2 at the plate and drove in a run. Miles Wilson assisted in 2 outs at first base and David Wolff-Urzua made a great play at 3rd.  For the Orioles, Julius Cenidoza and Luke Saum combined on an out at 1st. Grant Tomono stopped a grounder and tagged the runner out.  Christian DeGuzman had a solid hit.

 

Dragon Rouge Tigers, Central Plumbing D'backs -May 4

Tigers Joseph Cutting hitting a solid single and a double and Alex Prather driving in a run from a single. D'backs Tiago Silva was 2 for 2 and played great defense as catcher. Jayven Franklin had 2 hits and 2 RBI and made an amazing leaping grab in the 3rd inning for an out.

 

Guaranteed Rate Orioles, Advisory Consulting Rockies – May 4

For the Orioles, Kandan Saheba fielded a line drive and made the out at 2nd. Nathan Leung made a sacrifice hit to bring in a run from Julius Cenidoza. Rockies catcher Robbie Stebbins got a force out at home and Peyton Cheung got an unassisted force out at 3B

 

 

T-Ball Division

MJS Web Solutions Dodgers, Fassio Tax Service Rangers — April 27

Tej Panchal and Miles Bayley each drove in runs for the Dodgers, while Nicholas Swartz and Brody Esquer turned ground balls around for plays to first. The Ranges had a fun game.

 

Litho Process A’s, Yojimbo Sushi Mets – April 27

For the A's, Lukas Lager beat out an infield hit, Dylan Speed caught everything at first base, and Kirk Humbles had the longest hit of the day.  The Mets got nice hits from Ryan May and Kylie Zorn, who twice cleared the bases.

 

Cerda-Zein Real Estate Cubs, Shooting Stars Phillies - April 27

Marcus Yeh, Benji Doten, and Brandon Ng all had key hits for the visiting Cubs. For the Phillies, Arianna Gates did a great job at home plate, John Inocencio gave it his all as pitcher, and Oliver Freyre scored twice.

 

MJS Web Solutions Dodgers, Bladium Braves — May 4

Tej Panchal and Miles Bayley each drove in runs for the Dodgers, while Nicholas Swartz and Brody Esquer turned ground balls around for plays to first. For the Braves, Kathan Tran, Donovan Masga and Mason Daon led the offense with run scoring hits.
