Alameda Little League Game Summaries - May 12 through May 18

Major Division

 

Dr. Vicki Wang Orthodontics Twins 3, Jim Bustos Plumbing Dodgers 1 – May 8

For the Dodgers, Connor Bustos and AJ Ramsey each had a double, and Derek Balaian added an RBI single.  For the Twins, Max Nyrop pitched a complete game, Sophie Nilsson doubled off the wall, and Nathan Westlund singled in a run and scored.

EPE USA Nationals 3, Jim Bustos Plumbing Dodgers 1 - May10

For the Dodgers, Cesar Maldonado had a single, Derek Balaian scored and hit a single, Malachi Francois had an RBI. For the Nationals Zack Karch pitched a complete game, allowing only five hits.  Thomas Goodman drove in two runs with a two-out single.

 

Dr. Vicki Wang Orthodontics Twins 13, Neptune Beach Pearl Pirates 5 – May 10

For the Pirates, Patrick Ramos doubled twice and scored two runs, and Stefan Schneider had two RBI.  For the Twins, Max Nyrop homered, KW Quilici had three hits, AJ Silberstein made a diving catch, and Austin Novoa scored twice.

 

 

AAA Division

Craft Beer and Wine Red Wings 5 vs. Makman & Matz LLP Rattlers 9 - May 5

For the Red Wings, Lucas Baldizan pitched 2 scoreless innings. Superb outfield play by by Jack Perrin-Harris, Diego Franco, and Jacob Baca. The Rattlers played a great game.

 

Craft Beer and Wine Red Wings 12 vs. Vator Express 22 - May 10

For the Red Wings, Aidan Gleason hit a spectacular inside-the-park-homerun. Jacob Baca tagged 3 runners out at home. Diego Franco made a line drive catch in the outfield. Damon Lang had two big hits for the Express, Tanner Roizen added 4 RBI's on 2 hits and Mateo Hamilton made an outstanding catch in center field.

 

Alameda Pediatric Dentistry Fightin Phils 13, Vator Express 7 - May 14

Sam Yep had three hits for the Express, Oisin Boyle had an RBI double and Tanner Roizen made a leaping catch at first for an out. The Phils played a great game.

 

Alameda Pediatric Dentistry Fightin Phils 2, Karin Fox, Harbor Bay Realty Rivercats 10 - May 14

Thomas Cooke played a great game at shortstop and added a double at the plate.  Brandon Souza had two hits. Jack Connolly made a great catch in left field. Rivercats Robert Jensen and Leo McMahon teamed up for a double play. Timely hitting by Teddy Baldanado, and Alex Delau provided much of the offense.

 

AA Division

 

Scolari's Good Eats Bats 12, Baron’s Meat & Poultry Dragons 8 – May 6

The Bats Jacey Canalin and Lucas Holley's timely hitting to drive in two runs. Joey Fedor and Fionn Meagher made key plays while Subby Wolff Urzua had strong pitching. The Dragons played a great game.

 

Alameda Natural Grocery Bees 11, Jack's Bar & Restaurant's Thunder 10 - May 8th

Dylan McGrew's sacrifice grounder brought scored an RBI. Kevin Ochoa pitched a solid fourth inning. Elias Padilla scored the walk off winning run. For Thunder, Nico Araujo's 2 doubles earned 4 RBIs and pitched a no run inning secured by. Daniel Velichko's fly ball catch. Kevin Holmes hit a solid single and sacrificed for an RBI.

 

AA Jack's Bar & Restaurant's Thunder 11, Parker & Sears Orthodontics Hot Rods 2 – May 10

For Hot Rods, Pierce Mauldin caught a line drive and stole 4 bases. Elek Strong earned his first strike out at pitcher. Jacob Whorley pitched a no hit inning. For Thunder, Ryan Cheng's doubled. Pitcher, Landon Gee caught a line drive, had a 1-3 put out, and pitched a no-run inning.

 

AA Alamo Capital Riverdogs 7, TMS Automotive Seadogs 6 – May 9

Mitchell Wong got a key RBI single and Dillon Wong got 2 RBIs and scored the go-ahead run for the Riverdogs. Collin Ng closed the game pitching a scoreless final inning. For the Seadogs, Alan Hesse got a single and a triple, and Max Demmler and Ronan Johns got key singles.

 

AA Alamo Capital Riverdogs 11, Alameda Natural Grocery Bees 10 – May 12

Collin Ng, Nick Robertson and Jacob Goodman got consecutive 2-out hits in the bottom of the last inning to for the comeback. For the Bees, John Marshall hit a double and a towering home run to drive in 3 runs and Bilal Abraham had two hits.

 

A Division

 

Alameda Family Dentistry Grasshoppers 4, King of Thai Noodle Tincaps 3 – May 5

For the Tincaps, Ziggy Mintz showed tough defense at shortstop and catcher.  Turner Smith and Jack Carlisle both had 2 singles and scored a run. The Grasshoppers played a great game.

 

Neptune Beach Pearl Blue Claws 11 v. Maureen Shandobil Raptors 5 – May 10

The Blue Claws Mateo Leveton hit a home run played great at first. Hudson Taylor and Ryan Liu hit doubles. The Raptors were led on defense by Marco Garcia executing a double play from second to first and Cole Aney reeling in a pop fly in the outfield.  Ian Shaw hit a ground rule double and Avery Steuer going 3 for 3.

                                            

Alameda Elks Lodge 1015 Muckdogs 15, Parent’s Press Mets 14 – May 10

The Muckdogs’ Ben Custer had a key two out RBI hit and Kaden Thomas made a great defensive play at shortstop.  The Mets, Dashiell von Stroheim went 3-for-4 and scored twice.  Logan Field had a fantastic defensive game and was ready to play at all times.

 

Blue Dot Cafe Volcanoes 10 vs El Caballo Wrap Aeros 9 – May 10

Aeros Emmett Kotapish and William Finn Smith hit ground rule doubles while Jack Borgh had two hits. In the field, Pablo Vessali had an unassisted double play. For the Volcanoes Jake Morgan had three hits and Jack Hume hit a big double. Jack Kenny made two good plays at shortstop.

 

King of Thai Noodle Tincaps 14, Pacific Bay Electric Scrappers 10 – May 10

Marcus Finch hit a big 2 run double.  Gaelen Dudley hit 2 doubles and scored twice.  Archer Hilsabeck was tough on defense making 2 outs in the field. The Scrappers played a great game.

 

Farm Division

Central Plumbing D'backs, Baskin Robbins/Littler Mendleson Cardinals – May 11

The D'backs brothers Taye and Louie Ohh both going 2 for 2 and playing strong defense in the field. Robbie Fintland, Jeremy  Lamb and Tam Pullman-Letourneau led the Cardinal’s offense with powerful line drives.  Impressive defense from Jack Busch, Turner Brotze and Kian Ghaderi.

 

Alameda Collision Giants,  Kapowich Real Estate White Sox - May 11

For the Giants, Levi Holmes ripped a triple, Andrew Van Hespen hit  a double, and Lana & Archie Schullstrom both went for 2. 2 For the White Sox, Diego Morote and Benji Kapelke both made solo outs at first, and Logan Schwimmer, Jacob Song, Zane Thomas, and Ryan Baker all got on base with solid hits.

 

TMSAutomotive Yankees vs Ocean’s Halo Twins – May 11

On offense, Yankee batters Matthew Dean and  Sebastian Brune had strong hits, both landing safely on first base. Playing infield , Landon Garcia snagged balls and threw for quick outs at first. The Twins played a great game.

 

Parents' Press Mets 18, Maureen Shandobil Harbor Bay Realty Raptors 11 – May 12

For the Mets, Dashiell von Stroheim went 4-for-4 with a double and 4 RBIs, while Max Cohen played strong defense.  Raptors Beckett Atkisson led off a seven run rally in the last inning with a powerful single aided by Nic Ostergren.  True Morenz had a good put-out at third.

 

Southshore Safeway Angels vs. Guaranteed Rate Orioles – May 11

Angels Taylor Wehmann turned in an outstanding performance fielding the ball at second base and Landon Crevani had two strong hits at the plate.  Dawson Stewart also contributed with an unassisted double play at 3rd base. For the Orioles, Jet X. Chan and Jacob Wong both drove in runs. Damian Sugitani-Senna hit a line drive in the 4th inning.

 

T-Ball Division

 

Yojimbo Mets, Fassio Tax Service Rangers – May 11

The Yojimbo Mets got strong hitting from Charlotte Horowitz, Michael Brandt and Mateo Lawrence. The Rangers had a great day at the park.

 

Alameda Crossfit Braves, Yojimbo Sushi Mets – May 11

The Braves and Mets celebrated Mother's Day with a great game of baseball. The players honored their moms by presenting them with roses in a pre-game ceremony, and each team wants to take this opportunity to express their appreciation for all the wonderful moms!

 

MJS Web Solutions Dodgers, AlamedaFixit Guy Pirates — May 11

Dodgers  Everest Prager and Mihir Manghani batted runs in, while Aaron Donahue caught several ground balls for outs at first. For the Pirates, Ricky de Leon III, and Erik Nettling made terrific plays on the field, while  Leia Harris and Nolan Harris had great hits.
