Alameda Little League Game Summaries March 17 - March 23

Major Division

Glazier-Yee LLLP Orioles 5, Jim Bustos Plumbing Dodgers 4 -March 9
For the Orioles, Ari Chertock pitched 6 innings and scored a run. LJ Rose tripled, singled, and walked. Antonio Roblero scored the winning run after reaching 1st on a bunt. For the Dodgers, Ryan Floyd hit a two-run double and Jackson Ade had two hits. Tristan Goode pitched in relief and struck out the side in the 4th inning

Jim Bustos Plumbing Dodgers 11, Neptune Beach Pearl Pirates 6 - March 13
For the Dodgers, Derek Balaian hit a 3 run triple and an RBI single for the Dodgers. George Chabre hit a 2 run double then scored. Daniel Choi had a single and scored a run. The Dodgers played a competitive game.

Jim Bustos Plumbing Dodgers 4, Pappo Restaurants Athletics 1- March 15
For the Dodgers, Tristan Good pitched 5 2/3 innings striking out 17. George Chabre hit a 2 run single then scored. Derek Balaian hit a double and scored. For the Athletics Joe Depinna pitched 7 innings striking out 10 and hit a solo homer in the 5th inning. Jackson Barnes and Nick Demmler had the only other hits for the Athletics.

Jim Bustos Plumbing Dodgers 6, McGuiness and Northridge Marlins 3 – March 20
For the Dodgers, Malachi Francois hit a 2 run double, Connor Bustos singled and scored, Derek Balaian doubled and made a diving catch. Marlins Edgar Duchesneau doubled and scored on a single by Trace Tega.

AAA Division

Karin Fox Harbor Bay Realty Rivercats 8, Vator Express 7 – March 15
Alex Delao pitched three shutout innings for the Rivercats, and catcher Evan Hesse made a great throw to first base to catch the runner out in a pickle. For the Express, Sam Yep had a 2-RBI double and made two big defensive plays. Oisin Boyle threw out a runner at first from third base and had a stolen base.

Karin Fox, Harbor Bay Realty Rivercats 11, CRAFT Beer & Wine Red Wings 4 - March 17
For the Red Wings, Aidan Gleason hit the team’s first in the park homerun. Christopher Schaefer pitched two strong innings, recording four strikeouts and catching a pop fly on the mound. Cian Putterman made a great catch on a long high fly ball to left field.

CRAFT Beer & Wine Red Wings 6, Makman & Matz LLP Rattlers 5 - March 22
The Rattlers’ Eli Jones hit a two run home run in the top of the 5th inning to take a 5 to 4 lead. For the Red Wings, Aidan Gleason made his pitching debut, holding the Rattlers to one run in the first two innings. Joshua Blackman saved two runs by fielding a hard ground ball at second base. In the bottom of the sixth, Quinn Rasmussen hit a walk-off triple.

AA Division

Alameda Theater Bulls 11, TMS Automotive Sea Dogs 10 – March 9
The Bulls Ryan Hand had two hits and 6 RBI's. Sage Roy-Burman pitched 2 1/3 innings with 5 strikeouts. The Sea Dogs played a great game but fell short.

Alameda Natural Grocery Bees 11, Alameda Theater Bulls 2 - March 13
Elias Padilla led the Bees offense with two base hits and two RBIs. Bilal Abraham's defense backed up a stellar pitching performance by Nicholas Dunwood Jr. Nicholas completed an inning with only 10 pitches. Bilal also collected 2 hits, a walk and an RBI. The Bulls pitching staff contributed mightily, lead by Liam McNeil, Gabriel Garcia and Nathan King.

Alameda Theater Bulls 12, Parker and Sears Orthodontics Hot Rods 4 – March 15
Bulls offense was lead by doubles by David Gibbs(3 RBI's) and Ryan Hand(2 RBI's) . Solid defensive by Rex Weber, Maurico Rosales and Sage Roy-Burman contributed with key put-outs during the game.

Alameda Natural Grocery Bees 12 vs. Jack's Bar & Restaurant Thunder 9, March 15
Thunder's Junior Perez hit a two RBI single. Jack Marcovici and Ryan Cheng registered a 4-3 put-out. Ty Menze singled and stole the remaining bases for a run. The Bee's Chello Anderson Jr. contributed 3 base hits and John Marshall drove in runs with power hits. Owen Sacco saved a run with a play at third.

Red Onion Rock Hounds 6, Shooting Stars Mud Hens 9 – March 18
For the Rock Hounds, Oscar Crane, Haileen Jaramillo, Hugh Saulsbury and Matthew Folsom had RBIs. Colby Okazaki pitched well striking out four batters in two innings of work. Quentin Moreland pitched two scoreless innings for the Mud Hens. Cooper Smolin went three for four with 4 RBI's at the plate and pitched a shutout sixth inning to secure the win.

Baron’s Eats Dragons 11, Alameda Theater Bulls 7 - March 19
Dragons Demetrius Gates doubled in the 1st inning driving home David Song and Jimmy Netherton. Diego Palacios’ sacrifice grounder at first drove home brother Joaquin Palacios. Bulls Rex Weber and Victor Bicynski each had key third out plays. David Gibbs recorded two outs at the plate stoping runners from stealing home. Benji Terry, Ryan Hand and Edwin Berg had key walks to support the Bulls attack.

Alamo Capital River Dogs 8, Alameda Natural Grocery Bees 3 - March 22nd
Riverdog Nick Robertson hit a 2-run double. Copper Gunning hit a one-run single. Nathan Yoo, and Collin Ng each pitched two strong innings only giving up one run each. Payton Fare gave up only one run in one inning. The Bees Jaden Jamula impacted the game stealing third base on a close play. John Marshall enjoyed a strong outing on the mound. Dylan McGrew's base hit drove in OB Van Wijk.

Jack's Bar & Restaurant Thunder 5, Baron's Meat & Poultry Dragons 2 - March 22
Thunder's Kai Shimp got 2 put-outs and hit a line-drive single. Daniel Velichko threw an 11 pitch shutout inning and worked with Liam Sullivan for tag out at third. Catcher Junior Perez tagged a runner at home. For the Dragon's Evan Green had two doubles and pitched three strikeouts. Lee John Majerus played great at third and stole home in the second. Diego Palacios' fielding at 2nd saved runs.

A Division
Alameda Family Dentistry Grasshoppers 15, Maureen Shandobil Harbor Bay Realty Raptors - March 9
For the Grasshoppers offense, Damarius Gates hit a double and two singles. William Kelly caught a fly ball and had two put outs at first. Cyrus Jones fielded a swinging bunt from the catcher position for the put out at first. The Raptors were powered by Nik Ostergren and Ian Shaw on offense. Avery Steuer and Marco Garcia showed off their solid defensive skills.

Neptune Beach Pearl Blue Claws 14, Pacific Bay Electric Scrappers 10 - March 13
Blue Claws Mick Goddard, Taeo Manzano, Jackson Walker, Mateo Leveton, and Marcelo Quirk hit three singles each. Makana Berzabal was solid at second base. Hudson Taylor and Ryan Liu combined for a double play. Scrappers Anders Vieaux singled, Jackson Yep doubled. Isaiah Dumont, Dasan Aguilera, and Adam Sligh hit RBIs. In the field, Kenneth Peters and Davien Deala each contributed with putouts.

Claremont Behavioral Services Owlz 1, Neptune Beach Pearl Blue Claws 0 - March 17
Owlz Nolan Shultz hit a single during the game. Luke Walker had a good defensive game and Mateo Delgado collected a single hit for the winning RBI of the game. For the Blue Claws Angus Olaes, Hudson Taylor and Taeo Manzano all played great defense. Emmanuel Ezirim and Makana Berzabal each hit singles.

Maureen Shandobil Harbor Bay Realty Raptors 2, Blue Dot Cafe Volcanoes 22 – March 18
Volcanoes Isaac Sullivan had two solid hits while Erik Soltero and Jack Hume both went 4-4 at the plate. Raptors Ian Shaw and Sophia Stento recorded put outs. Tyler Ma & Kyle Moe had nice hits.

King of Thai Noodle House Tincaps 5, Parent’s Press Mets 7 – March 19
Tincaps Jack Carlisle, Archer Hilsabeck and Keanu Hennings each made unassisted outs in the field. Shortstop Ziggy Mintz made an excellent catch. Luca Danzi tagged out a runner to end an inning. For the Mets, Ryan Nguyen and Logan Faire hit 3 for 3. Defensively, Max Cohen played good defense in. Blake Friedman made a nice play in the 6th inning.

Kelly Lux Insurance Iron Birds 24, Blue Dot Cafe Volcanoes 24 – March 20
Volcanoes Jack Kenny hit a single and a double and made a few good defensive plays while Preston Decourcey went Sam Paskins both went 4-4 at the plate. For the Ironbirds, Keegan German tripled and played a solid game at first, while Aryan Panchal and Dakota Chamberlain showed off their strong arms with accurate infield throws.

Parents' Press Mets 16, Maureen Shandobil Harbor Bay Realty Raptors 5 – March 22
Mets Jeremy Harris and Amy Screechfield had multiple two-out hits. Defensively, Colin Pero snagged a hard shot at first base. The Raptors were powered by a triple from Cole Aney and doubles from Marco Garcia and Avery Steuer. Noah Barahona had great infield play.

Blue Dot Cafe Volcanoes 15, Kelly Lux Insurance Iron Birds 9 – March 22
William Thompson had a standout defensive game and had two solid hits at the plate. Deven Moore had two hits and Devin Williams had three hits. For the Ironbirds, first baseman Kyle Skuta handled all three outs in the fifth while Jon Jones and Kelvin Joiner, Jr. stretched out hits with alert baserunning.

The Claremont Behavioral Services Owlz 8, Alameda Collision and Repair's Lugnuts 9 – March 22
Nael Flores had a nice hit, Eli Slez showed great glovework, and Xavian Picaso did some nice hitting. For the Lugnuts, Matthew Marx had 3 hits, John Mainguy hit 3 doubles, and Jacob Hodges singled in the winning run. Nael Flores hit a double good for a RBI and scored one run. Nola Shultz had a good defense game. Max Olsen and Tyler Donaldson had a hit each.

Farm Division
Yojimbo Marlins vs. Ocean's Halo Twins - March 16
Connor MacDonald led the Marlins' offense with two smash hits and good speed around the bases. Ezekiel Lee showed great focus and made several key plays at pitcher. For the Twins, Merrick Tarver started the hit parade in the first, Corwyn Reilly laced two liners up the middle and Wynton Scott roped a double in the fourth.

Alameda Collision Giants, Baskin Robbins/Littler Cardinals – March 16
Kailer Stone and Kathryn Gille each had two base hits while Madina Ahmadzoay playing short stop and Bryson Edwards on the pitchers mound had great catches. The Cardinals played a great game.

TMS Automotive Yankees, German Auto Mariners - March 23
For the Mariners, Parker Johnston made some amazing throws to first base. Toby Keiser continued his hitting streak by going 2 for 2. Jack Gonzalez hit the middle to end the game. The Yankees Lukas Simcox and Phoenix Ramirez made great defensive plays at 3rd base and home plate.

Alameda Collision & Repair Giants, Guaranteed Rate Orioles - March 23
For the Orioles, Evan Furuichi hammered a pitch in the 4th, bringing in two runs. Christian DeGuzman and Alexander Htoo each scored two runs. Julius Cenidoza showed great hustle in the outfield.

Baskin-Robbins / Littler Mendelson Cardinals, Kapowich Real Estate White Sox – March 23
Terrific Cardinal defense by Toby Schrager and Emerson DeCourcy with 1st base outs, tag out by Jack Busch, and quick plays off the mound by Turner Brotze. Big hits included Jaren Beene’s right field triple and Dylan Mann’s center field hit. For the White Sox, Jacob Song and Jace Johnson played strong defense, and Ian Attaway, Milo Meuser, Matthew Vuorenma, and Hayden Fong all got hits.

T-Ball Division
Yojimbo Mets, Torrey Pines Bank Cardinals – March 16
The Mets Makana Baker got the teams first hit and scored its first run. It was Dahlia Smith who drove in the Mets first run of the season. The Cardinals started the season off with a rare 5-bagger by Tyler Long, going all the way home then back again to first. Gabriel Gerhard had an awesomely hit ball in the second.

Shooting Stars Phillies vs. Litho Process A's – March 16
For the Shooting Stars Phillies, Ardarius Gates played great defense as pitcher and Ivy Clevenger made a perfect throw from the outfield to the catcher. Shilo Pierce slid with style into third base. For the Litho Process A's, Tommy Aleman stopped a ball and immediately threw it to Kirk Humbles at first base who made a great catch. Luka Horvat hit the ball deep into left field for a homerun in the bottom of the first inning.

MJS Web Solutions Dodgers, Cerda-Zein Real Estate Cubs — March 23
Liam Brownlee and Miles Lum showed hustle in the infield for the Dodgers with great throws to first base. Grady Fedewa and Salvador Nava-Leyva led the offense with hits to the outfield. Garrett Boone, Roman Funes Takhtamanov, Brandon Ng, and Om Mahalingam all had inning-ending big hits for the Cubs.
