Alameda Little League Games to May 13

A full slate of games for the week

MAJORS DIVISION

The SuperSpeech & Language Connection 6, Eyewise Optometry Athletics 4

The Reds offense was led by Henry Canalin 6 RBIs, a triple a game tying HR in the 6th, a walk off HR in the 8th. Kyle Kathman, Jackson Drum and Chris Webber had 2 hits each.

The A's Andrew Broz and Willie Mein had two hits. Mein started the game off with A solo HR in the 1st. Jackson Ball had a stellar defensive plays.

The A's Eric Fong, Sandeep Mahl and Jackson Ball shut out the Brewers offense. Fong and Mahl had doubles on 5/12.

The Brewers' Luca Van Der Meer pitched 3 innings, allowing no hits or runs. Cameron Spaulding had a double, Julian Sazo and Kahleen Johnson singles.


Eyewise Optometry Athletics 13, Sports Authority Marlins 11

On 5/12/12 the A's Eric Fong had 4 hits, Ryan Finer and Max Turner each 3.  Tairen Parker had a single and made a nice catch in the outfield. 

For the Marlins, Tyler Fong had 3 hits, Osiris Johnson and Jonathan Atases 2 each. Max Swinderman had a nice triple.

 
AAA DIVISION

El Agavero Stars 7, D20 Rivercats 10

The Stars L.J. Rose batted 3 for 3. Tor Angstadt-Leto laying a perfect bunt down the third base line. Nathan Dudley hit a line drive triple down the right field line. Defensively, Ameer Omar was able to do well on the mound, pitching for 3 innings.

For the Rivercats, Michael Waldman hit a triple. Max Onaga did some aggressive base running to score a run and put them ahead on the scoreboard. Mark Makashima hit a double driving home two runs.


Litho Process Hooks 11, El Agavero Stars 1

The Hooks defense carried the day on May 7. Auden Conway and Brian Belt hustled to catch fly balls. Max Nyrop threw to Elias Faizi to stop a steal at third. Jackson Elliott singled and made his pitching debut. Neil Donovan hit a 3-RBI double and made great defensive plays at 1st base.

The Stars L.J. Rose had a big double to left field. Elian and Elexsio Pelayo wereboth able to contribute with hits and glove work. Jac Hernandez was a bright spot on the mound, coming in for one inning and giving up no runs.

 
Seelenbacher Jewelers Express 14, Bladium River Bandits 16

The River Bandits' Jackson Ade knocked in two runs and also pitched the final three innings. Davis Stewart had three hits and four RBIs and Zia Ahmadzoay made a great catch in left field.

For the Express, Jackson Saulovich had four hits. Nicholas Pippen had three hits with two RBIs. Ben Seelenbacher, Sophie Nilsson and Aenas Pardo shared pitching duties.

 
Sinead Smyth, L.M.F.T. Bees 9, Bladium River Bandits 6

For the Bees, Dallas Rider and Andrew Tandoc each pitched and had scoreless innings on May 5. Anthony Norris Silva hit a home run in the 2nd inning, followed by triples from Pierce Coppock and Dallas Rider. 

For the River Bandits, Matthew Dalton hit a double and single, knocking in three RBIs. Zack Karch also scored a run and pitched a scoreless 6th inning for the River Bandits.

 
AA DIVISION

MXL Commercial Construction Bats 10, Encinal Market Bulls 2

The Bats' Joe Loughran led the offense with a monster double that drove in two runs, and the defensive play of the game was a throw-down from Connor Bustos behind the dish to Lukas Mann for an out at second.  

The Bulls were paced by Shane Connolly, Emmitt Phinney and Zach Hester.  Makaio Shea, Chris Schneider and Tanner Mackenzie showcased solid defense for the Bulls.

 
TEC Electric and Orthodontic Dental Care Mudhens 15, Riverdogs 4

The Mudhens' Nathan Connick went three for three and struck out six. Pitcher Sebastian Hurtubise struck out two and caught a fly ball to retire the side. Dylan Manabat hit a ground rule double to drive in two.

For Pearl's River Dogs, Ethan Tien threw for a quick out at first. Jack Perrin-Harris scored a sharp out at second base. Third basemen Rebecca Lagerway threw to first baseman Kaitlyn Tien, scoring an out at first.


Encinal Market Bulls 7, Pearl's Burgers Riverdogs 3

The Riverdogs scored two runs thanks to timely hitting by Eugene Gardner, who singled in the first and doubled in the fourth inning. Estuvido Ramos pitched a solid game with one hit and no runs, and struck out five during his two innings of work.

The Bulls prevailed in this game.


A DIVISION

Roughing It Day Camp Volcanoes 10, Scrappers 7

Owen DeCourcy smashed a towering double and two singles for the Volcanoes, and Lee-John Majerus had a pair of base hits. Ryan Chang executed three key defensive plays that resulted in outs.

For the Scrappers, Ben Bunger and Brian Fournier combined for five hits and Henry Pace and JP Larson made great plays in the field.


Little House Cafe Mets 15, Pacific Pinball Museum Grasshoppers 4

In the May 4 game, Sam Meyer had a RBI for the Grasshoppers. Colin Wehmann went 2 for 2 with a RBI. In the field, Michael Chun and Cian Putterman teamed up for a double play.

For the Mets, Nicholas Bellinger hit 2 doubles. Evan Chance and Christian Belmonte went 3 for 3 and Eddie Onaga was strong on defense. 


Jodi D. Snyder, Psy.D.  Comprehensive Neuropsychological Service Iron Birds 10, Stem to Stern Scrappers 14

Rahul Sharma and Johnny Nieters led the Iron Birds with three hits and several RBIs each. Veronica McComas and Izajah Ford made several great plays.

For the Scrappers, Leo McMahon had two doubles and Lucas Baldizan had two hits to lead the offense. Ricky Soderlund and Kolia Krajewski made great plays to help save the game.

 
MuckDogs 12, Grasshoppers 13

In extra innings the Grasshoppers outlasted the MuckDogs 13-12. Gabriel Amaya, Jacob Goodman and Brandon Souza all had three hits, each keeping the rallies alive. 

The MuckDogs had good defense by the whole team.


FARM DIVISION

Alameda Beauty College Rangers vs. Littler Mendelson Diamonbacks

The Rangers had great hustle with fielding and batting. Tyler Taylor had 2 RBIs. Jack Carlise and Diego Cerna turned singles into doubles. Kyle Donaldson and Camilo Diaz-Gordon had a great day hitting and fielding.

For the Diamondbacks, Fin Depew legged out an infield single for an RBI in the first. James Witherspoon hit a solid line drive up the middle in the top of the second. In the bottom half of the inning, James Alexander made an unassisted out at first.


T-BALL DIVISION

Shooting Stars Photography Reds vs. Tigers

The Reds’ Jacob Wong had a great day, making an unassisted put out at first in the first inning, and, in the second, making a great throw to first and whacking a solid line drive with the bat on May 6.  Taye Ohh also shined in the field, making an unassisted put out at third, and Jet Chan hit the ball hard in the first inning.

The Tigers played a great game also.
