Alameda to Host Little League Tournament of Champions Games

Division winners will begin play in the Little League California District 4 Tournament of Champions games beginning this weekend. The AA Hotrods and one not-yet-decided Majors Division team will represent Alameda in the tournament.

Little League California District 4 has selected Alameda to host AA Division and Major Division Tournament of Champions games. The Tournament of Champions participants have won their respective local divisions. California District 4 is made up of 14 teams from the East Bay.

Alameda will host a set of brackets from all four rounds of the AA tournament including the championship game. The first three rounds of the Majors tournament will be hosted in Alameda. The Alameda AAA team will play their first-round team in Walnut Creek.

Tournament play begins on Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. and continues through the week. The weekday games on June 19 and June 21 will start at 6 p.m. The June 23 championship game will begin at 11 a.m. All games hosted by will be played at the Little League fields adjacent to and Wood Middle School. The major cross streets are Otis and Grand.

The AA Hotrods, managed by Paul Ferry, will represent Alameda. As of this writing the Major Divsion representative has not yet bet decided. Both Alameda teams will play Saturday, June 16, at 10 a.m. Come out and cheer on the Alameda teams!
