Join us for “A Year in the Garden”, a special community event, as Alameda Backyard Growers celebrates its first year!
DATE & TIME: Thursday, March 10, 2011 (6:00 – 8:00 PM)
LOCATION: Alameda Main Library, 1550 Oak Street, in the large community room on the ground floor behind Dewey’s Friends Café
PROGRAM (times are approximate):
6:00 – 6:20 PM: Community Potluck, Seed Swap & Community Networking
6:20 – 6:30 PM: Celebrate ABG's first birthday with a slice of cake
6:30 – 6:40 PM: Short presentation on our first amazing year
6:40 – 7:40 PM: Participate in ABG's “Year in the Garden” activity - choose your favorite time of year in the garden (or one you’d like to learn more about) when we split into four groups (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) for seasonal discussions followed by large group presentations
7:40 – 8:00 PM: Closing, Clean-Up & More Networking
Please note: this event is part of the Alameda Free Library's March 2011 Community Reads program (www.alamedafree.org) and replaces our regularly scheduled monthly meeting at High Street Station.
