An in-depth introduction to the sequence of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Sri Pattabhi Jois. Includes a discussion of the basic elements, history and benefits of practicing Ashtanga Yoga followed by practice of sun salutations, standing poses, seated and finishing postures. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of correct breathing and regular practice. For those new to yoga or students of other yoga traditions who are interested in Ashtanga.
