Our Women's Sailing Seminar starts with an inspirational keynote speaker and on Saturday, students participate in a curriculum they build themselves, for courses taught in classrooms and on the water.  On-the-water courses include basic and advanced sailing, spinnaker, crew overboard rescue using a Lifesling, docking, and anchoring.  Classroom courses are offered on navigation, engine repair/maintenance, basic sailing, advanced sail trim and racing basics.
After a day of education in the classroom and on-the-water, join us at the Yacht Club for appetizers, camaraderie and fabulous raffle prizes, which include sailing gear and boat equipment, all generously donated by our sponsors.
On Sunday students again choose their curriculum; either one-design racing on the Oakland-Alameda estuary or cruising on the Bay watching the Blue Angels during the Fleet Week celebration.
Book before September 17 and take advantage of the two-day early bird discounted fee of $175 which covers two full days including our Saturday workshops, continental breakfast, lunches, one raffle ticket, registration packet, WSS visor, a bag filled with goodies from our sponsors - plus Sunday sailing (early bird cost for Saturday alone is $125).  Additional donations are gladly accepted and will help us put on this seminar every year.  Registration is first-come, first-served. If space is available after September 17, registration fees go back to $200 for both days.
WSS is made possible by the generous donations of volunteers, instructors, boat owners and sponsors.  Don't miss it!  Go to  http://www.iyc.org/ to view details of the course offerings and to register online.  Questions?  Call Nancy at 510-523-0825.
