Go, Alameda Eagles! Coast Guard Team Wins Fleet Week Softball Tourney
An interagency softball tournament is a traditional part of San Francisco's Fleet Week. This year, the Alameda Eagles, the U.S. Coast Guard's Fleet Week softball team, won the championship game against the San Francisco Fire Department.
The Alameda Eagles, the U.S. Coast Guard's Fleet Week softball team, won the championship game against the San Francisco Fire Department in the Fleet Week Interagency Softball Tournament at Moscone Field on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012. The Coast Guard defeated the San Francisco Fire Department with a walk-off home run, resulting in a final score of 8-7 during San Francisco Bay Area Fleet Week festivities.
