Coming up: The 2012 City of Alameda Swim Championships will be held at the Encinal Swim Center, 230 Central Ave. (at Third Street) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Aug. 10, 11, and 12. The swim meet is sponsored by the Alameda Island Aquatics and AlaGator Swim Teams, in conjunction with the Alameda Recreation and Park Department (ARPD).
