Regarding the concerts at Crab Cove, few bands could be more appropriate and perfect than a Beach Boys tribute band. Regarding the topic of surf music, it is interesting to point out that one of the most famous surf songs was composed and recorded by a band from Minnesota. (Brrrrrrr.) That would be "Surfin' Bird" by The Trashmen. Also, would might be of general interest is the surf music of Laika and the Cosmonauts. This band, which is from Finland, has several albums to their name, and their finest songs include "Cafe Equator," "The Man From H.U.A.C.," "Theme from Mission Impossible," and "1:45." The title of this last song is read, "one minute and fortyfive seconds." These songs from Laika and the Cosmonauts are among the best of the surf instrumental genre, in my opinion.
