will host its second Not Your Mother’s Garden Party on Sunday, May 20, 2012. The fundraiser will benefit APC and will take place at , a retail plant nursery operated by Alameda Point Collaborative as a social enterprise job training site for residents.
The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the nursery, 2701 Main St. Tickets are $65 apiece, with proceeds benefitting the Alameda nonprofit. They are available online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/236495.
, maker of Hangar One vodka, will be at the event for the evening to create special cocktails using ingredients from Ploughshares Nursery. Ticket holders will be able to taste unique concoctions while helping a great cause. APC and St. George Spirits are neighbors and located on Alameda Point.
Not Your Mother’s Garden Party will also feature the best finger foods from local restaurants, live entertainment and garden-led tours throughout the Ploughshares Nursery.

Alameda Point Collaborative provides supportive housing to formerly homeless families and individuals. APC strives to build a strong, safe and healthy community including quality and affordable housing, comprehensive services, a retail plant nursery, and a community garden. APC operates 200 units of housing for 500 residents. It has been serving families since 1999 and is located on 34 acres.
