Alameda Ballet Academy (ABA), along with its charitable "affiliate performing company," Alameda Civic Ballet, was founded seven years ago by artistic director, Abra Rudisill. The academy emphasizes a strong balance between inspiration and commitment from an early age, hoping to instill technical precision and natural grace in its dancers. Every year, the academy presents two recitals: "The Nutcracker" in the winter and then a spring recital. ABA offers numerous classes per week, for dancers of every age and skill level. Depending upon a student's age and skill level, tuition ranges from $60 monthly to $1,440 annually.
