Alameda Journal

The weekly Alameda Journal, staffed in 2010 by Editor Connie Rux and reporter Peter Hegarty, is a free print newspaper distributed to 20,000-plus households across the Island. The paper provides coverage of Alameda sports, business, jobs and community events. Stories from the Journal can be found <a href="http://www.insidebayarea.com/alameda">online here</a>. In January of 2010, Alameda Journal's parent company, Affiliated Media, the holding company of Media News Group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
