A respected member of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce, the Frank Bette Center for the Arts provides the community with a variety of programs, including art classes in the  literary arts and music. With approximately 25 visitors per day and more than a hundred people enrolled in its programs per month, the center offers what owner Frank Bette calls "a place for meetings, readings, showings and other creative doings." The Center's hosted gallery exhibits periodically showcase local art,  as well.
