Julia Park Tracey
I was the founding editor of the Alameda Sun newspaper, have written for magazines and newspapers including the San Francisco Chronicle, Examiner.com, East Bay Express, Alameda/Oakland magazines, The Monthly and more; author of a novel (Tongues of Angels, 2003) and a volume of verse (Amaryllis: Collected Poems, 2009), and was the founder/director of Alameda Literati (2003-07). I have taught creative writing and sustainability classes. I have a BA in journalism from San Francisco State University and a MA in English (Early 20th Century British Literature) from Cal State East Bay. I love my garden, my chickens, my family and my cats, sometimes in that order. I'm a word nerd and a green queen. Read more scintillating prose at www.modernmuse.blogspot.com.
