I grew up in the sprawl of Los Angeles, where I got my start in journalism volunteering for a youth radio program. I fell in love with telling the stories of everyday people. A recent graduate of UC Berkeley’s School of Journalism, I spent the last two years reporting stories in Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco. Along the way, I engaged with members of each community and learned the value of local news reporting. I’m now excited to be moving onto the “Island,” to bike the streets of Alameda, meet the city’s residents, and find the stories that make the city pulse. I’m interested in housing, culture, immigration and pretty much anything that makes the world go round. I’m also interested in hearing story ideas from our readers, so please, send them my way!
