Alameda Fire Crews Douse Blaze on Park Street Friday Morning

A suspected electrical fire in an apartment on the 1800 block of Park Street Friday morning caused an estimated $35,000 in damages, according to the Alameda Fire Department.

There were no reported injuries in the blaze, which 26 Alameda firefighters confined to the second story of the building and extinguished quickly.

Alameda Police and Alameda Municipal Power helped fire crews and Oakland Fire covered vacant Alameda fire stations.
