Outside Fire on Otis Drive Causes Minor Damages to Two Homes

A total of 18 firefighters responded, the press released said. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Alameda Fire Department responded to an outside fire on Otis Drive early Sunday morning.

Around 3:24 a.m., AFD was dispatched to the report of a fire next to the building on the 2800 block of Otis Drive. Arriving firefighters found an outside fire between two houses, both of which were threatened by the flames, AFD reported in a press release.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and damage was confined to a stack of household belongings which were being stored outside. There was also some minor damage to house on each side where the fire occured. 

A total of 18 firefighters responded, the press released said. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Fire damage is estimated at $1,500 to the two structures and $3,000 to the belongings that were being stored outside.
