Rollover Accident Closes Park St., Buena Vista — No Major Injuries

Two cars and an SUV were involved in the 1:30 p.m. accident, police said.

A three-car collision closed several blocks of Park Street and Buena Vista Avenue to traffic this afternoon (Thursday), but no major injuries were reported, an Alameda Police Department spokesperson said.

Lt. Jill Ottaviano said at least one person was transported to Alameda Hospital after the accident, but no one appeared to have life-threatening injuries.

Two passenger cars and one SUV were involved in the crash, which left at least one vehicle partially overturned, Ottaviano said.

Alameda police issued a traffic advisory about the accident at 1:31 p.m., asking motorists to avoid the area near the intersection of Park and Buena Vista where the collision occurred.

Park Street was closed to traffic in both directions between Lincoln Avenue and Buena Vista, while eastbound travel on Buena Vista and Eagle avenues between Park and Oak streets was shut down.

All streets were reopened about 2 p.m.
