Two Injured in Early Morning Fight at Scobies

Two men were taken to the hospital for treatment of laceration after an incident at the Central Avenue bar, according to police.

A fight at Scobies Bar and Grill sent two men to the hospital early this morning, according to an Alameda Police Department spokesman.

Lt. Ted Horlbeck said in a press release that the APD received a report of a fight at the tavern, located at 2431 Central Ave., at 1:51 a.m. on Monday, March, 18.

When officers arrived, they found two adult males who had been injured, he said.

One of the victims was transported to Highland Hospital with a laceration to his neck while the second victim was transported to Alameda Hospital with a laceration to his head, Horlbeck said.

The type of weapon used is unknown, he said.

The suspects are reported to be Asian male adults who fled prior to police arrival, Horlbeck said.
